'MR/ MISS.PROFESSIONAL - 2010' is a brand new event which is based on the factors needed for a job interview .It aims at,
ØCreating the awareness of professional dress code.
ØInsisting the need for efficient communication skill.
ØTesting the technical as well as the non-technical knowledge of the contestants.
ØAbility to handle a situation
LEVELS OF THE COMPETITION:
Both 'MR/MISS.PROFESSIONAL' competitions will be conducted in three levels as,
1) PRIMARY LEVEL - "THE PROFESSIONAL'S SHOW"
2) SECONDARY LEVEL - “TNT QUIZ COMPETITION”
3) FINAL LEVEL - "STRESS MANAGEMENT"
Written prelims will be conducted for the participants to enter this event. Totally 20 participants will be selected for the next round.
1) PRIMARY LEVEL - "THE PROFESSIONAL'S SHOW":
This is the first level of the competition. Only the 'Top 20' (10 for boys and 10 for girls) will be taken into account. In this level each contestant will be provided with a technical as well as a non-technical topic. They will be given 10 minutes to prepare.
The contestants have to relate their given technical topic with the non-technical one and should deliver their speech in a ' combined format ' for 2 minutes,
Here, 5 + 5 contestants will be selected from this level.
JUDGEMENT FACTORS:
In the primary level, the judgment is based on,
How professionally he/she dresses.
How bold he/she is on the stage.
Fluency in English.
Pronunciation skill.
How efficiently he/she relates the technical and the non-technical topic given to them
2) SECONDARY LEVEL - "TNT QUIZ COMPETITION":
The selected 5+5 contestants will participate in this level. This level is basically a quiz competition. The secondary level of both 'MR/ MISS.PROFESSIONAL' will be conducted in two sub-levels as,
1) Technical Round.
2) Non-technical Round.
The procedural details of the secondary level are explained as follows:
MR/MISS.PROFESSIONAL - TECHNICAL ROUND:
In ' MR/MISS.PROFESSIONAL' finals, the selected 5boys and 5girls will first go through a technical round. This technical round is similar to an ordinary quiz competition. In this round, the contestants will be technically questioned one by one.5 questions each, for a total of 25 questions will be asked. In case, if a contestant doesn't answer, the question will be passed to the next one. This passed question will be given half of the total points.
MR/MISS.PROFESSIONAL - NON TECHNICAL ROUND:
This is the ' deciding round' of the entire competition. Based on the PRIMARY LEVEL SCORE + TECHNICAL ROUND SCORE, 3+3 finalists will be selected for the non-technical round. These 3 finalists will be called one by one to the stage. And they will be given three choices in different categories as,
1) Sports.
2) History.
3) Bonanza.
All the above three choices consists of a set of 5 questions. As mentioned, the questions in the first two category deals with the sports and the historical events respectively. The third choice (i.e.) bonanza is a special category, because in the first two choices, the contestant has to answer all the 5 questions to score full points. But in the 'bonanza' category, as per the contestant's wish, it is enough to answer only one question among all the 5 questions to score full points. The questions in the 'bonanza' category may be from any non-technical field.
LIFE - LINES:
In the non-technical round of both 'MR/MISS.PROFESSIONAL, two life-lines will be provided. They are,
1) Hint / Clue
2) 50-50
In the first life-line, the contestant will be given a simple clue to identify the answer. In the second life-line, half of the answer will be given in the 'missing letters' format. The important fact is that these life-lines can be used only in the first two choices, but not in the 'bonanza' category. Moreover, some points will be reduced from the over-all score, depending upon the life-line used. Such details are briefly explained in the following section.
In the non-technical round each life-line can be used only once. Depending upon the life-line selected, points will be reduced from the over-all score as,
*Hint/Clue- 3 points will be reduced.
*50-50- 5 points will be reduced.
4 contestants (2 boys and 2 girls) will be selected for the final round.
3) FINAL LEVEL-STRESS MANAGEMENT
The selected contestants in the secondary level will participate in this level. This level is a stress round. Here a contestant should manage the stresses. A live situation will be given to the participant.

*Tendency of solving a problem
SCORING SYSTEM:
The allotment of scores in each level is as follows,
Ø The Preliminary level carries 50 points
Ø The Secondary level carries 100 points
o Technical Round carries 50 points
o Non-technical round carries 50 points
Ø Final level carries 50 points
Total-200 points
At the end of the final level, the boy/girl having the highest over-all score will be awarded as,
